Alex Rodriguez' thirteen-year-old nephew wants to play in the Majors when he is older, just like his All-Star uncle. According to the NY Daily News, Joe Dunand Jr. wants to be known as Lil' Joe, and according to the paper, Joe is a spitting image of Alex, 34. Joe is the son of Alex's half brother, Joe Dunand Sr, and he has recently been taking batting practice at Jose Martinez' Baseball Made Simple Accademy in New York.

Alex spent Thurday night partying?

He was too tired to play on Friday night, but according to the New York Post, Alex had spent Thursday night partying with rumored girlfriend, Kate Hudson. The Post reports that Alex, 33, and Kate, 30, left the party at around 2:30 in the early hours of Friday morning. Alex did not play in the Yankees' game in Florida that night due to "fatigue".

Alex Rodriguez was benched on Friday due to fatigue. Many of Alex friends and family had been expected to attend the game, including Alex's mother Lourdes, and his four-year-old daughter, Natasha. Alex however informed them not to attend after he was unable to play on Friday night. It would have been Alex's first game played where he grew up. He is expected to be benched again today (Saturday)

According to the NY Daily News, Alex Rodriguez met rumored new girlfriend Kate Hudson via a mutual friend, Adam Modlin. Modlin, who is a real estate broker introduced Alex, 33, and Kate, 30, at the Grand Opening of the Fontaine Bleu Hotel last November in Miami. Recent, rumors have been rife that Alex and Kate are dating, after she has been spotted at a number of Yankees' games, and the pair were seen leaving the 40-40 club on Sunday night separately.

Kate Hudson comes to watch Alex play

Actress Kate Hudson came to watch Alex's game on Tuesday night, and according to the New York Post, she went to see a televised version of his game against the Cleveland Indians on Monday night. Although she only stayed one inning, she reportedly cheered throughout. Alex has been linked to Kate, 30, for the past few weeks, although stories originally came out in January. Alex, 33, met Kate last year at the opening of the Fontaine Bleu Hotel in Miami, and according to recently published reports, has been a fan since Kate was in Almost Famous in 2000. Representatives for Alex or Kate have not commented on these stories.

According to the NY Post, Alex Rodriguez was spotted with Kate Hudson at the mustang Grill over the weekend. Kate, 30, went to see Alex play at Yankee Stadium on May 15, and the two reportedly went to dinner afterwards. Alex, 33, met Kate at the opening of the Fontaine Bleu hotel last year, and they reportedly went out to dinner in January. Of their latest rumored meeting, a rep for Kate Hudson was unavailable, and Alex representative said "No comment".

LA Dodgers player Doug Mientkiewicz told Yahoo! Sports that Alex Rodriguez did not take steroids in high school to bulk up. Stories published in the NY Daily News yesterday contained excerpts from Selena Roberts' new book A-Rod, and according to the book, Alex took steroids aged just 15. However, Mientkiewicz insists these allegations are false, pointed out that, at age 15, Alex hit puberty, and it was only natural for him to gain 25lbs at that age. Mientkiewicz insists that the Warriors, the team that both Alex and Doug played for were together 20 hours a day, and Alex could not have taken steroids. This is the second story leaked from Roberts' book that had been rejected by those who know Alex well.

Mike Cramer, ex-executive of the Texas Rangers, insists that Alex Rodriguez did not tip pitches. The NY Daily News has released more information from Selena Roberts upcoming book a bout Alex Rodriguez, A-Rod. The latest stories allege that Alex, 33, insisted on having a basket of food in the changing room, and his toothbrush ready with toothpaste after each game. According to the latest story, Alex would also boast about his nights with strippers, and would make awkward advances on his teammates wives and girlfriends. Roberts' book is due to be released on May 12, three days before Alex is officially expected to rejoin the Yankees, although stories suggest Alex could return as early as May 9.

New book claims Alex took steroids in high school

Selena Roberts book "A-Rod" claims that Alex took steroids in high school, according to the NY Daily News. The book suggests that Alex took steroids from as young as 15, whilst fellow Major League players claim Alex, 33, was using steroids during his time with the Yankees. However, although Alex has recently admitted to using PEDs, the Yankees third baseman insists it was only during his time with the Texas Rangers between 2001-03. According to the Daily News, the book is negative throughout, and tries to paint Alex as egocentric. Roberts also alleges that Alex tried to bribe opposing teams by telling them the type of pitches they would get, in the hope that they would help him later. There is no comment from Alex's publicist yet.

Alex says he feels great

Alex Rodriguez spoke with Yankees manager Joe Girardi on Monday night and told him that he "felt great". According to Girardi, Alex said he had a spring in his step.
