LA Dodgers player Doug Mientkiewicz told Yahoo! Sports that Alex Rodriguez did not take steroids in high school to bulk up. Stories published in the NY Daily News yesterday contained excerpts from Selena Roberts' new book A-Rod, and according to the book, Alex took steroids aged just 15. However, Mientkiewicz insists these allegations are false, pointed out that, at age 15, Alex hit puberty, and it was only natural for him to gain 25lbs at that age. Mientkiewicz insists that the Warriors, the team that both Alex and Doug played for were together 20 hours a day, and Alex could not have taken steroids. This is the second story leaked from Roberts' book that had been rejected by those who know Alex well.
